How it works
- Age grade = age standard ÷ your time × 100. The age standard is the open standard (12:49 men, 13:54 women) divided by the age factor from the 2025 road age-grade tables.
- Splits start from your target, tilt it for a positive, even or negative split, then re-balance each km for its elevation (about +3.3% time per 1% uphill, up to 1.8% faster per 1% downhill, capped). Whole seconds, always adding up exactly to your target.
- Terrain model is an approximation (a rule of thumb, not a lab result). Wind, heat and your own legs will have opinions.
- Everything runs in your browser. No account, no tracking, nothing is sent anywhere.
Age-grade source: road running age-grade tables, 2025 edition, by Alan Jones with Tom Bernhard (approved 10 Jan 2025 by the USATF Masters Long Distance Running Council), published under CC0 1.0 at github.com/AlanLyttonJones/Age-Grade-Tables. They continue the WMA/USATF road age-grade tables (2010, 2015, 2020). This app is not an official WMA or USATF product, and the 2025 edition was approved by USATF, not WMA.
